We spend most of our time in school, and I love going to school as I meet my friends there. During recess, we play and have a gala time. On the bus, while returning home, my friends and I play different games like antakshari, UNO, dumb charades, etc.
Schools and colleges are both educational institutions, but we usually get our primary and secondary education in school, and for higher studies, we go to college.
Let us understand the difference between them.
Friendship- I spend around 7 to 8 hours in school, and it is obvious to make friends when you spend so much time there. You also need people to interact with, share your opinion, play and go on recess with. So, I think the friends I made here will stay forever with me. Also, in school, you have a lot of discipline and are not allowed to go out of the premises, so it becomes even more important to have friends there.
However, things change immensely in college. You have all the freedom to go out of campus whenever you want. You may not attend a few classes, which allows you to hang out with your friends whenever you want. In a college, students do not interact with each of their classmates; hence they may not get to know each other well.
Class Size - In school, a class typically has 35 to 40 students, whereas, in college, the strength of the class may vary from 30 to 100.
Structure - Usually, a school comprises a monolithic structure. In contrast, colleges are relatively bigger because the strength of students is usually more in the college, and there are various disciplines and courses to pursue.
Studying what you want - This is something I do not like about school, i.e., you have to study every subject. There are very few or no options to select from. For instance, if you study commerce, you have to learn Economics and Business Studies as the choice is only between Maths and other extra subjects.
On the contrary, you can choose the course in college as per your choice.
School and college both are equally important for completing studies. But, I love going to school and wish this golden period never ends.
