Introduction
Treasure Island happens to be my favourite book. It is described as one of the best adventure novels written by Robert Louis Stevenson.
It is based on a story of buccaneers and buried gold. Underneath the title of the sea cook, it was serialised in the Young Folks magazine and was published in 1883 in book form. Treasure Island is considered to be the best by many readers.
Several concepts are introduced and associated with pirates. There are fantastic characters, vivid text, and a vivid environment that makes this novel so unique and intrigued me to the point that made this book my favourite.
Treasure Island
The story revolves around Jim Hawkins (main character), who helps his parents run Admiral Benbow (an inn). It gives us all the thrills that an adventurer desires.
There is a sailor seeking refuge in the inn and a one-legged pirate searching for the sailor, a map that has fallen into the hands of a young boy who is on a dangerous journey searching for an island and the treasure on it.
The thrill that one experiences after reading this novel are enthralling and exciting; the characters, the environment, this all attracted me to such a novel. Not just kids, even elders are captured by its mesmerising adventurous story, which captures everyone's minds and hearts.
The characters like Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver are another reason to love this novel. These characters will draw your attention to a point where you will keep reading this novel to learn about the fate waiting for them ahead.
