I have heard a lot of times, "A friend in need is a friend indeed." This statement is absolutely true in my case. My best friend had always helped me and taken care of me in all the situations when I needed him. My best friend's name is Jack; we study in the same class.
I have a lot of friends, but only a few leave a mark on us. Jack is one of them. He has several good qualities. In fact, some of his traits inspire me to become a better person.
One such trait is his sincerity. Jack is honest, hardworking, obedient, well-disciplined, funny, and a brilliant student. Jack made me realise the importance of time management and how to make the right balance between studies and playing.
Let me tell you about how we met! Jack was a new student in the class, and fortunately, the teacher asked him to sit beside me. We both were hesitant to talk to each other, but Jack introduced himself, and then the conversation started. He asked me to share my class notes with him, and then we went for recess together. That was the beginning of an everlasting friendship. To date, we share our lunch boxes and sit in class together.
My best friend and I have a lot in common. Both of us love playing cricket, listening to similar kinds of music and like to read about new cars. Our families know each other very well too. In fact, during the last summer break, I went with his family on vacation to Sikkim. We had such a gala time and clicked so many pictures.
I feel glad that we met each other and understand each other well. The best part about our friendship is that not only in good times but even in hard times, he has helped me. For example, last year, I had a high fever just before the exams, so I could not go to school. But Jack made sure that he gave me the notes every day so that I didn't miss out on my studies and could cover the syllabus sitting at home. These small gestures make you feel special in friendship, and you always want to do something extravagant to make the relationship better and stronger.
I’m so lucky to have Jack as my best friend!
