Many years ago, all the grades of a school would be in a class together. Would you like this? Why or why not?

Many years ago, there was no specific education system, and all the children used to sit in the same class. There were no separate standards, and all the children of different age groups were made to sit together. If you think about it, it can both be good and bad. Good in the sense that older children might help the younger ones and siblings could be in the same class. Bad as everyone has a different way of grasping things. Little children have a smaller span of concentration than older kids.

So, if every person of different age and mental ability are in the same class, it will be a great disaster as there will be unfair competition. So, if I had to choose if it’s good or bad, I would say it’s a bad system.

My views on this concept

A school is where a child learns about society and grasps new information. When a small child is placed in a class with older kids, they will have difficulty adjusting. It will be hard for them to make friends, and it will make them develop insecurity that maybe they are not enough. They will have insecurities about both their academic and social abilities.

Secondly, everyone has a different concentration and grasping power. This mental ability develops overage, and if a 5-year-old child is taught the same thing as a 15-year-old, they will respond differently. The 15-year-old will learn more quickly than the five-year-old one. It will create injustice and will lead to poor performance of little children.

It will also not allow them to grow according to their age, as everyone develops their emotional and mental abilities with age. Placing them all in the same section will force little children to work hard to match up with older kids. Everyone needs time to develop these abilities, and hence this system will take away this chance from smaller kids.

Final thoughts

In my opinion, children should be divided into different grades according to their age. It will help them to adjust and make friends. It will be a more suitable system as everyone will get enough time to develop their mental abilities and prepare them for higher classes. It will be a more practical system than placing them all in the same grade.
