Importance of a Teacher in Your Life
The role of a teacher in our life is unexplainable; they play a vital role in everyone's life. They acquaint us with moral values, ethical values, and academic stuff, plus they shape our personality and make us knowledgeable, confident, and strong.
Reasons why teachers are important
We carry whatever we are taught at a young age throughout the rest of life. Teachers play an essential role across multiple domains, such as teaching the youth in a way that makes the entire nation proud; also at the same time teaching them to become better human beings first.
They orient us with so many things starting from our school and college life; there is always something that they try to teach us—motivation, the difference between right and wrong, making our learning fun, and much more.
Some of the things that I think every teacher does for their students are-
· Create real-life connections- A teacher is a students' best friend; they try to make learning easier by giving real-life examples and connecting them with their studies. They give examples, make even the most challenging topics easy for us to understand, and tell how they can be helpful for us in the future.
· Provide the right guidance- Teachers know our strengths and weaknesses; looking at this, they guide us on making our weaknesses as strengths. They teach valuable skills and bring the best out of their students. They motivate us in every domain and help us achieve our goals. They teach us valuable lessons about the importance of communication, prioritising, time management, organisation, and presentation.
· Encourage- I remember my teacher encouraging me to transform my painting hobby into a profession. She saw my skills and motivated me to go further with them. Even though I was unsure about it, I participated in many national-level contests and won them because of her. I got so much appreciation, medals, and recognition for it.
Only a good teacher who eliminates the communication gap and inculcates free-thinking in students can do wonders for students.
. Tracks improvement- A good teacher is always a good critic; they start their feedback on a positive note and tell the students the areas of improvement. They monitor every little progress of their students and boost their confidence.
Teachers set small-term goals as per our capabilities to achieve them quickly, plus create challenging assignments to help students solve difficult conditions in life with patience.
So, always respect your teachers and show gratitude whenever you get a chance. I love all my teachers, and I want to make them proud.
