If You Had a Time Machine, Where Would You Visit First — The Past or The Future? Why?
During my science class, I always wonder what new inventions await us after 20 or even 50 or 100 years. Our teacher teaches us about all the inventions from the past and my mind wanders to the future. Will the schools be hi-tech? A playground that changes according to the game played on it. Will the teacher be there or will there be Artificial Intelligence-powered robots teaching us about the history of teachers? Will I be able to reach even the farthest country I want in just a few hours?
If I had a time machine, I would definitely want to visit the future. Past is all in the history books. I have learned about the kings and peasants, the policies, battles, and migration. Now, I want to learn about new things.
If I had a time machine, I would visit every country in the future. Find out about the new machinery. Maybe they will be able to stop the natural disasters by then. Will they have more environmentally-friendly factories and cleaner rivers and oceans? There was news of an earthquake on TV the other day. I wonder if, in the future, they would be able to detect natural disasters before they happen, and save people!
Travelling to the future will also help understand what we need to do now to protect nature, people and animals. I can do something about it if I know the future. I can invent new things, protect my neighbourhood tree, the river which flows near our village.
A time machine would be interesting. There will be new music, and I would like to know how my favourite band is faring. The things we use now will become vintage after 50 years. I will take my phone with me and show it to the people of the future. It would be cool.
Also, I want to see what I will become in the future and the things I need to work on to achieve my dream. Whether I need to become a better child to my parents, a good sibling to my sister and brother, a good student to my teachers, and a good citizen and human being for society.
