Plants and animals are wonderful creations of God. There are a thousand species of animals all around the globe. All of them are different in their own way, and it is lovely to just look at them and observe their movements.
Just like everyone, I, too, have a favourite animal. My favourite animal is a dog. There is more than one reason for dogs being the most lovable creatures. Dogs are domesticated and loved all over the world. They are loyal, reliable, and the most playful creatures. They are also effortless to train! Although the owners can train dogs at any age, it is easy to train them when they are young. Just remember to give them a lot of treats and rewards to train them better!
A dog is a man’s best friend. It does not demand anything, and it also never complains. I think we can all learn a lot from dogs. They are the best teachers of love, compassion, and faithfulness. Sometimes I just look at my dog’s eyes and feel so much warmth and love. At that moment, I feel grateful for dogs and all other animals. I thank God for creating such wonderful and playful creatures. Did you know that there are therapy dogs too?
The other day, as I was watching the Discovery Channel, I saw a dog named Bruno who was employed as a therapy dog in a hospital! I was so surprised to know that dogs can even sense human illness and other conditions like fear and anxiety. I have felt the same about my dog Abby as well! Whenever I feel sad or scared, Abby comes to me to play or lie down with me. I even think he can understand the human language because it’s so easy to be around him.
It is an effortless love with dogs, so they are everyone’s favourites. But be cautioned; taking care of a dog is not easy. It is similar to taking care of a human child but far more gratifying. I think everyone should adopt a dog or any animal at least once in a lifetime. A person who has adopted a dog is never the same as before. As Anatole France has rightly said, “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
