Describe Did You Ever Try To Run Away From Home?
When I was five years old, I tried to run away from my house. My mom went to her village to help her ailing mother, and our aunt took care of us for some time. Our aunt was a lot of things, beautiful, tall, even funny. But one thing she was not, and that was a good cook. On top of that, she was a huge fitness enthusiast. So not only was her food tasteless she also did not allow any chicken nuggets or bacon at home. At first, I tried to adjust and deal with the lifestyle changes she brought. Some of them were waking up early, going for a walk etc. As my mother was only to be gone for one week, I thought this would stop at the end of the first week. But my mother informed me that she would be staying for another 2 weeks at her mother's place. It was here when I decided I could no longer live like this. A life without chicken nuggets, after all, is barely a life. So I packed my tiny suitcase and some coins I had in my piggy bank and left the house. I had decided I would go to the bus stop, take a bus to mom's village and stay there. It was quite a walk to get to the bus stop; I was so tired by the time I got there that as soon as I sat on the chair at the bus stop, I fell asleep. When I woke up, it was sunset and I was incredibly hungry. I sat there for some time waiting for a bus, but no bus came for the next 10 minutes, and I was growing more and more hungry. After waiting for 5 minutes more, I had to make the most difficult decision. I had to decide between going back home or waiting for the bus and getting to mom. I had to decide on going back home as not only did I not know by when I would be able to get a bus, it would also take quite some time before I could reach mom's village, and I had not packed any food with me so I would positively starve by the time I reached her. So once again, I made the journey back towards my house. I grew extremely hungry as I reached home. Turns out I reached just in time for dinner. No one had noticed my absence as I had left exactly during playtime. After washing up, I sat to eat. As usual, aunty had made some boring healthy food. I don't know if it was because I was unbelievably hungry or because the food was actually good, but as soon as I took the first bite, I found it delicious. I ate until my stomach was full and went to sleep. The journey of getting to and returning from the bus stop four houses down had been unbelievably tiring.
