Students Should Not Have To Do a Persuasive Speech in Front of a Large Audience!’

Every student is different, with their own specific strengths and weaknesses. Students should not be forced to do a persuasive speech until and unless they feel comfortable doing so.

Very few jobs that we know of require public speaking. It is good to persuade students to take up new challenges, but is it necessary to face challenges by losing one’s identity? It is obvious that students feel anxious and afraid during public speaking, but it isn’t wise to force them.

Here are some demerits of forcing students to do a persuasive speech in front of a large audience:

Fear

Quality public speaking requires certain nuances such as eye contact, voice control, and vocabulary recall under duress and in the heat of the moment. In addition, orators must also demonstrate the ability to communicate with the audience and establish contact with them.
